Rain and the Sky Cable Customer Service Representative (CSR).

For almost 25 years na nakatira ako dito sa BF Homes/Deparo, Caloocan City, never akong nakaranas makapanood sa Cable. That means, puro local channels lang ang napapanood ko. So, ‘nung sinabi sa’kin ni Tita na baka magkaroon na ng line ng Sky Cable dito sa’min, I was very excited. Kaya lang, hanggang ngayon, wala pa ring dumarating na taga-Sky Cable dito sa’min. So nag-Tweet ako sa Sky Cable (@SKYserves). I asked them kung possible na magkaroon na ng line dito sa’min, or kung tuloy talaga ang installation dito sa’min. ‘Yong admin ‘nung account, asked me for some information, my address and contact number. Then after ilang minutes, biglang nag-ring ‘yong phone. ‘Twas my cousin na nakasagot ‘nung phone.

Cousin: Kuya, Sky Cable daw.

Me: *grabs the phone* Hello? Good afternoon.

CSR: Hello, good afternoon. May I speak to Sir Ephraim Malicsi?

Me: Yes, hello. Speaking.

CSR: Hello Sir! I’m (I forgot his name)… blah blah blah.

Me: Oh, blah blah blah.

We talked for a while. Then…

CSR: Sir, are you the guy behind the blog, amateurdreamer.tumblr.com?

Me: *laughs* Aaahhh, y-y-yes.

CSR: Sir, I’m a fan.

Me: *paused for a while* Oh. Thank you. *speechless*

CSR: Sir, I’m going to forward you to our sales representative… blah blah blah.

Me: *kroo kroo* Okay

CSR: Thank you, Sir. *Sky Cable On hold music*

I was like, OMG?! Then biglang nagsalita na ‘yong Sales Rep, nang hindi ko namamalayan ‘cause shocked pa rin ako. Well, kinilig na rin at the same time. ‘Twas unexpected, and first time kasi ‘yon. 

'Hello' sa’yo, Mr. Sky Cable CSR. Sorry, awkward moment kasi kanina. Lol.
